The Brandt house is scheduled to be completed this week, a one story 1,732 sq/ft custom home for Jake and Carrie Hickson. The proud new owners are looking forward to moving in just in time for the holidays.

Styles Have Changed A Lot, it looks like I have as well. We have been blessed to find favor among the people of this community, to endure and prosper. No small part of that is the hard work and loyalty of some key employees along the way; like Connie Schwartz, my book keeper and now office manager, of 23 years, Faye Louras who gave me 14 wonderful hard working years, and Sam my superintendent who has been associated with me in one capacity or another for over 20 years. I would be remiss not to mention Susan, my wife, who keeps everything pulled together and tidy behind the scenes.

We Have Finished This Last Decade, with the next generation of my family involved in the business as well. Jake, my son and supervisor with the company since his graduation from the University of Florida. Jeni, my daughter and designer, graduated from High Point University, majoring in Interior Design.

As We Look Forward, I suspect that homes will trend towards being more environmentally responsible and energy efficient. Also, that homes will be smaller, but that design and style will become even more important. I have to admit that I have gone from a contractor that looked at interior designers as someone who got in our way, to one that considers our designers recommendations as an essential element. Its part of the process that makes a house a home!

Though Styles Have Changed, the principles that govern our business have not. A commitment to a superior product achieved thru hard work, craftsmanship, and guided by integrity.
