Don’t miss the January 15 meeting of the Daytona Beach Advertising Federation when David Caldwell, president of marketing and communications for the Preston-Osborne agency, presents “How to Brand A Horse,” highlighting his experience in branding Lexington, Kentucky the “Horse Capital of the World.”

Preston-Osborne is a marketing communications and research firm that provides an array of services for clients who require marketing, public relations, opinion research, public affairs management and creative services.  Headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, Preston-Osborne has been in business for more than 30 years, delivering its unique brand of practical consulting to a diverse group of clients, from small-town financial institutions to multinational Fortune 500 corporations.

This networking and luncheon event begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Bill France Room at the Daytona 500 Experience, 1801 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach.  Admission to the luncheon is free for full members and $25 for Daytona Beach Advertising Federation a la carte members.  Admission is $35 for non-members and $10 for students.  Please RSVP by January 13 via email RSVP@daytonabeachadfed.com.

Kick Off Your New Year with An ADDY®! 
Proud of your ‘09 portfolio?  Then, show us what you got by entering your best creative from the past year into our annual ADDYs competition.  We are looking for print campaigns, radio spots, television commercials, web sites, photography and more from both students and professionals!  Drop off your entries on January 13, between 3 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at the Daytona Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau, 126 East Orange Ave in Daytona Beach.  

Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation, the ADDY® Awards honor excellence in advertising and cultivate the highest creative standards in the industry. With 60,000 entries, the ADDY® Awards are the nation’s largest advertising competition. Each fall the competition begins at the local level with the 210 AAF member clubs around the country.  Entries must first be submitted in a local competition to be eligible for the ADDY® process. The local winners proceed to 14 regional competitions, and those winners proceed to the national finals.  For more details click HERE.

Nominations for 2010 Silver Medalist Due Jan. 15
Nominations for the Daytona Beach Advertising Federation’s Silver Medal Award are being taken through January 15.  The American Advertising Federations Silver Medal Award was established in 1959 to recognize men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industrys standards, creative excellence and responsibility

Mark your calendars now for the ADDY® Gala & DBAF 50th Anniversary Celebration at the Daytona 500 Club on Feb. 20th.  We are pleased to announce that this year’s event will be hosted by Claire Metz, Volusia & Flagler County bureau chief for WESH-TV 2 (NBC).  This year’s ADDY® Gala promises to be special as we expect longtime and current members to come together to celebrate this club’s 50th year! Of course, we’ll also award local
creative excellence and winners of our
Presidents and Silver Medal awards.
