HOUSE OF COUTURE

Additions are like a complex puzzle that can overwhelm people.
-Architect Nils Finne, AIA, of Finne Architects in Seattle

Friends,

The hot days of summer are here and this time of year makes me think about remodeling and reinventing. You hear me talk about these words often – because I believe so strongly in them. More homeowners are deciding to remodel now more then ever before and it is something I strongly encourage you to think about doing to your own home. Whether it’s remodeling a bathroom, reinventing a home office or adding on a pool deck, I can help make your dreams and your vision come alive.

I know how challenging remodeling can be. I am here for you even if it is just an hour consultation to help get you off on the right foot. Remember, remodeling should be exciting, adventurous and rewarding.

Thank you for your continued business and support.

BUDGET MANAGEMENT AND TIPS WHEN HIRING THE RIGHT PROFESSIONAL
When choosing to make a home addition, choosing the right professionals is one of the hardest decisions. Here are some tips to make the smartest selections.

Do you homework – Research how much value the addition will add to your home. (Studies below)

Get advice – Even if you want to do the majority of the work yourself, hire a professional for at least the initial sketch and consultation.

Be specific – Share your vision with all professionals in the beginning and avoid making last minute changes that could be pricy if not identified in the beginning.

Get References – Ask all hired professionals for two references of recent jobs.

Check for insurance – It is recommended that any professional working on your home should have worker’s compensation.

Expect the unexpected – You never know what will unfold when you start tearing down and rebuilding.

Invest in energy efficiency – I really don’t need to elaborate here.

WHAT IS YOUR PROJECT REALLY WORTH?

SPEAKING OF REMODELING
Check out this beautiful remodel I just completed for a client in Ormond. We really took the monochromatic concept and made it pop.

EGGPLANT – it’s still the hot color right now pairing with silver and green hues.
