How did they find out about Hickson Construction?
We were visiting our friends and absolutely loved their home. We were taken aback by all the finishes and customized look of their house. When they told us about Hickson Construction we knew we would be calling Mike when we wanted to start the home building process. After speaking with him we found a lot, fell in love with it and the building began.

What do they like best about her new home?
All the customized features. We especially love our wrap around porch. We could entertain outside for hours with the warm, inviting feeling it provides. Our fireplace is wonderful and we are in love with our window casings. We would definitely recommend any of the Hickson projects!

Revitalize Your Family Room With Out Breaking The Bank!
Your family room is the heart of your home; the mood, style, and color palette, is often set into motion here! If you need to freshen up and revamp your styling; look no further, it is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

1) Choose a color palette; (BE BOLD) Navy and Coral, Chocolate and Sunshine Yellow, Chartreuse Green and white, Espresso and Oyster Grey. Look for inspiration in nature, your closet, current trends, colors that make you smile!

 2) Choose the Dominate color (being the one that you would like to look @ all of the time) for your family room paint color. That simple; Paint Your Walls (and ceiling)!

3) A. Choose the Accent color (being the compliment to the dominate color) for your fabrics (accent pillows, throws, window treatments,
and accessories (vases, picture frames, bowls, ect). or

OR
3) B. Choose accessories and fabrics that have both the dominate and accent color in them to pull the look together. or

OR
3) C. To add some contrast, inject a pop of another color. This really adds dimension and some interest to the space.

And finally, in order to make the room feel layered, select fabrics and objects that have different textures.

The juxtaposition of smooth against rough, linens against velvets and satins goes a long way. To really bring the space to life don’t forget to add some vegetation (bamboo, orchids, ect).
